Popularity of digital TV going high as a mode of entertainment


Popularity of digital TV is getting a tremendous rise as people have started preferring home entertainment more than cinema and all. As per a survey conducted by T-Mobile, this has come into light that 53 percent of Brits prefer to spend their money and time entertaining friends and family at home instead of going out.

As a result of this, an increasing number of people are splashing out on improving their home entertainment systems, which almost a third (32 per cent) having spent cash on home entertainment improvements over the past year. Apart from this, 12 percent have invested their money on larger TV whereas 10 percent have bought new sofa. This finding compelled Stephen Gater, head of marketing for home entertainment at LG UK to comment that entertainment is evolving. Not only this, he also said that future developments such as linking laptops and TVs together with the use of broadband will surely boost the hoe entertainment section in the coming days. Very soon, people will will be able to enjoy movies on their laptops and PCs using Virgin Media's Online Movies service which will be launched on 6th May.
